BellMark Partners, LLC (“BellMark”) advised New England Standard Corporation, d/b/a Standard Door Supply (“Standard Door” or the “Company”) on its acquisition by an Undisclosed Family Office.

Business Description

Headquartered in Portland, ME, Standard Door is the largest independent wholesaler of overhead garage doors, electric operators, and related parts in the Northeast. The Company has six warehouse and distribution centers across New England, each of which is strategically located near major population centers. The Company’s product portfolio consists of a diverse catalog of residential doors, including steel carriage house panel, standard panel, carriage house, and contemporary doors, as well as a complementary line of commercial products. A multigenerational family business, Standard Door was established in 1984 by Bill Marston and is currently operated by his son, Pete Marston, who took over as CEO in 2011. Bill, Pete, and the entire Marston family strategically navigated the growth and expansion of the Company for 40+ years, solidifying an industry-leading reputation and longstanding loyalty of the Company’s customer base.

Transaction Description

BellMark acted as the Company’s exclusive financial advisor in connection with this transaction. BellMark was selected by the Company due to its commitment to providing senior level attention to transaction execution, experience with family businesses, and strong industry experience in the distribution sector.
